There are only 2 Places of Power in Helsreik.
The place of power consecrated by the ministerium and at the stone circle located just at the edge of town on the way to the mine. Cleansing rituals can only occur in a Place of Power and can only be performed by Magic users and Priests.
To successfully perform a Ritual you must create an awe-inspiring spectacle. Players must transcend mere words and gestures. They need to immerse themselves in the rituals by incorporating visual and auditory elements. These elements will need to craft an immersive and captivating experience, effectively convincing the GM of the genuine power and authenticity of the magic performed. Things that casters should consider doing during a ritual to make it as immersive as possible might include the following:
1. Lighting: Illumination plays a crucial role in setting the mood and creating a mystical ambiance. Players can bring torches, lanterns, or magical lights to cast an enchanting glow over the ritual site.
2. Smoke and Incense: The swirling mists of smoke and the fragrant scent of incense add an otherworldly atmosphere to the rituals. Players can use smoke machines, incense burners, or special effects to generate a mystical fog.
3. Totems and Icons: Sacred objects and symbols are essential components of the rituals. Players can bring totems, banners, or elaborate iconography representing their chosen deities or magical forces.
4. Chanting and Hymns: The power of sound and voice cannot be underestimated. Players should learn and practice enchanting chants or hymns that resonate with the themes of their rituals.
5. Spellcasting Actions: The physical actions of spellcasting should be performed with conviction and flair. Players can incorporate dramatic gestures, intricate hand movements, or symbolic rituals that correspond to the intended spell effect.
