At Swordcraft Brisbane we have always advised there will be consequences to the actions that players choose in character. One way this can occur is permanent character death.
This event there will be three ways to experience permanent character death in Helsreik:
1. Continuous reckless deaths from combat causing you to visit the graveyard and roll three 1s on the death dice.
2. Public trial, and/or execution by order of the Town Guard or the Baron.
3. Private roleplay and character development that you/your warband planned.
A death by Public execution or by order of the Baron is a public spectacle it can be triggered by engaging in roleplay with high stakes. This can occur by engaging in acts against the Baron or Town.
This includes but is not limited to:
Threatening the Barons life or the lives of his subordinates (the black cloaks or the magistrate), attempting to usurp his position, repeated and continuous law breaking, or being sentenced to death during a trial.
By choosing to participate in high stakes roleplay you are accepting the possibility that this could result in a permanent character death. We will do our best to communicate this In Character.
If you are concerned that your roleplay is reaching this point please check in with a Story GM or Org and they will let you know, the team is always available to discuss boundaries and options if you feel you are in over your head.
If you are unable to find one of the above mentioned, find a marshall who can radio for an Org to assist.
